Finding your way around

Every screen shares the same frame, so once you know one screen you know them all.

The layout

  • Sidebar (left). The product name at the top, then the role-aware navigation list, then your name, role, and a Log out button at the bottom.
  • Top bar. A breadcrumb that starts at Intranet.
  • Main area. The active page: a header (title, description, summary stats, actions) followed by content such as tables, cards, or forms.
  • Staging banner. A warning strip appears under the top bar in staging.

The navigation list

The sidebar adapts to your role

Only the sections your role can open are listed. If you reach a section you lack access to anyway (for example via a direct link), the page returns a 403 "You do not have access to this page." message — the server is the source of truth. See Permission matrix.

Page anatomy

Most working pages follow the same shape:

  • Header with an eyebrow label, title, and one-line description.
  • Summary chips (for example "12 entries", "3 draft", "€4,200 open").
  • Primary action on the right of the header (for example Log time, New customer, Approve all).
  • Content: a table, a list of cards, or a two-column layout.
  • Row actions on the right of each table row (Edit, Submit, Delete, Archive…).

Common interactions

  • Create / edit opens a modal dialog. Fill the fields and press the primary button (for example Create customer); Cancel closes it.
  • Destructive or terminal actions (Delete, Archive, Close period) take effect immediately on submit.
  • Forms show validation errors next to the offending field.
  • Statuses appear as small coloured labels (for example draft, approved). See Statuses and states.

Filters and selectors

  • Months are chosen with a row of month chips (for example on Reports).
  • Time periods on Billing are chosen from a list on the left; the detail opens on the right.
  • Project and person pickers are searchable dropdowns.

Accessibility and shortcuts

  • Tables are keyboard-navigable; modal forms trap focus and Esc closes them.
  • Money is shown in the customer's currency; durations as Hh Mm.
